Cut the tip of applicaps and apply medicated oil directly to the wound.

Cover with an appropriate dry dressing by cotton followed by gauze dressing.

The frequency of dressing changes will depend entirely upon the nature of the wound, but infected wounds that are exuding heavily should be dressed at least once a day.
